Are you now or have you ever been a Human Lard Dog?
Do you believe that Shyness is Power?
Did you know that the Stupendous Holiday Finksten is always two weeks away?

Steven Erdman is a multi-media artist whose original work spans across cartooning, animation, songwriting, and performing as The Human Lard Dog. Born in Belopio, he spent his early years on a salmon farm in the West Andes and became interested in the inking methods of the local salmon pluckers. Erdman was granted the task of operating a “bootlet” spark transmitter pencil until he was old enough to become a licensed ink operator.

From a young age, the folklore and culture surrounding cartoon art shaped Erdman’s view of the world, evidenced in the whimsical, and often slanted, sensibility that is reflected throughout his art. He works primarily with black ink and guoache on Bristol board and relies on his trusted Winsor & Newton no. 2 brush and circa 1947 light box.

And remember: it's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
